Crochet: All Squared Out

I'm burned out on granny squares. Okay, maybe not burned out, but I saw this really cute hat, (here's the link) and I want to make it. But I don't want to stop this project and jump to something else. I have a really bad habit of doing that. Stopping one thing and then doing something else, and not finishing the first thing. I don't want to do that. I have got to stop that bad habit. I do that with books that I read. These crochet and knitting projects. My pile has gone down a bit, but that's another thing I have to work on. Just sticking with one thing at a time, until it's done. Sticking with working on my pile, and not going on to something else until I don't have a pile anymore. Anyway, I'm determined to finish this one project before I start another. And then after this, I have to finish this slouchy beret thing, and then finally this cute flapper/clouche hat I saw. In that order. I really have to do finish this bag first though. I'm using a Quizno's bag as a purse.....but desperate times call for desperate measures. Sometimes I have to laugh at myself. Anyway, hope everybody is having a good day!

I have the same problem with knitting projects and books. I've gotten getter as I've gotten older, but I just love the fun of starting something new, maybe it's because I can imagine it being perfect when it's not actually started. Once I get into a project I know all of its flaws, and it's never quite as I'd envisioned it being when I finish.

We did have some jalebi. I loved it!

Yeah jalebi is pretty good!

Well, thanks for sharing. I am so glad I'm not the only one out there who does this.
