Crochet: Crocheter's Block

I have heard of writer's block, but can there be such a thing as crocheter's block? For whatever reason I just can't get into finishing my crochet beret. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it's because I have a pile of stuff I'm trying to sell on Ebay. Maybe it's because I have a pile of books I want to get to and finish reading. I don't know what it is, but I think piles and clutter tend to get me down. Anyway, I think another reason is that I'm not sure when I need to start "decreasing" with this beret, if "decreasing" with crocheting is even part of the lingo. And after trying to "decrease", I'm wondering if my "ribbing" will come out okay. I saw this "ribbing" with crocheting on Knit and Crochet Today. The way I did it looked okay. Not as good as the way they did it, but I just figured the reason why was because I didn't use yarn that was all the same color.

Knitting: First Knit Hat Pattern

I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't even write down the pattern, for the first knit hat that I had finished. Here's the pattern (as best as I can remember):

(1) About 90 stitches on three double pointed needles
(2) Knit one, purl one for about two inches
(3) After you have reached two inches, just knit
(4) After you have gotten to about five inches, you want to start to decrease
(5) Your hat should start to get smaller and smaller until you can close the top of the hat

I know this is not how you write a pattern, like a real knit pattern, but ya'll get the gist of it. This is probably just a plain english, knit hat pattern.

Crochet: First Crochet Beret 2 of 3

So here's my first crochet beret. The very top picture is the most recent. It's started to bowl up a little bit, but that's okay. It's easily fixable. My only problem now would be, once I want to start bring the hat in, I guess I just won't add another stitch, I will just keep crocheting? I don't know. I'm sure I can figure it out, when I get close to the end.
