So here's the first two squares that I attached. There were two methods that I found. I'm sure that there are more than those two, but one of them, you can just sew them together. You have the two squares facing each other, and then just start sewing, using a darning needle. The second method, is to slip stitch the squares together. I chose the latter. It seemed the easiest. :D I'm starting with the base of the purse first. I don't know what happened here. I used the same yarn, the same knitting pattern, the same needle, and one came out so much bigger than the other. I have no idea what happened or what I did to make this happen. Maybe with one I crochet tighter than the other. That's the only thing I can think of.
The base of my purse is finished...Woooohooooo!!!!! I'm excited. This is actually going to be finished soon, and then I can start on my flapper hat. And also, then I won't have to use a Quizno's bag (It's made of fabric, but still, it's kind of pathetic. I'm glad I had washed it. That made the Quiznos' logo fade) as a purse.

Hey you! Your blog has changed? Are you in California? I need to check your new blog out and see what you have been up too!
I did change my blog url and I am in California.
Thanks!
Seriously! I'm dying for a granny square bag now, How fun that looks, and good looking!

What a cool project! It reminds me of something I made as a child where you heated up plastic and formed disks that where then to be sewn into a bag. I remember enjoying making the plastic disks but I don't think I actually ever completed the purse ~ but I know YOU will complete your purse! Have fun :)

Thank you very much!
I think I'm running into a problem though. It's turning out to be square...I don't know what I was thinking. Obviously, if I'm making squares the bag will be a square, but maybe I didn't think it would be this square. I don't know..I'll keep chugging along.
Maybe the finish won't be as bad as I think. I have no clue as to how the top will look, but like I said earlier, maybe as I keep going, it will come to me as to how to make it look right.
Thanks for the encouragement.
