Crocheting: Library

So I went to my local library a while ago, I don't know why I didn't post this earlier, maybe I meant to, and just forgot. Anyway, I got no help there, unfortunately. None of them could help me as far as making socks. Nobody had like a sock project in their bags they just happened to be finishing up. So I am back to square one, with learning how to make socks. :(

Oh, you're welcome! And I do feel alot better.

The bad thing is, I am up now, so late at night trying to catch up on this blog, fix things on this blog, and comment on things I like.

*whew*

Are you looking for help with knitting socks or crocheting socks?

Yes, actually I am.

I've been looking on YouTube, but haven't really gotten help there. I think I need more hands on help, because I just don't get it.

Socks are fun projects ~ do you have a Little Yarn Shop near by? If you buy your yarn from that shop often they will provide you with free knitting help. Otherwise, you can see if there are any knitters in your area - check for knitting guilds, etc. or you might find that Ravelry has a knitting group in your area.

BTW I sympathize about the carrots. I grew carrots from seeds as a child and they looked pretty much exactly like yours do. It is not easy to grow carrots - LOL

I have a Joann Fabrics near me, but unfortunately, none of their classes are about knitting socks. There's a Joanns' by my mom's house, and they just happened to be teaching a class on how to knit some socks on double pointed needles. Which is exactly what I wanted, unfortunately, they are asking for $55, which I don't have right now.

I will have to check into ravelry. Thank You!

Thanks for stopping past, if you are just learning to make socks, the best book I got was called the Iowa Crew/Cruise socks, it is a small book/pamphet by Cottage Creations, and I used this pattern for years!
It just teaches a basic sock in a simple way.
